The LAST Futurhythm

You can now download a recording of the show! Thanks to Mimsey Demon for digging through the CHUO audio archive to make this one available.

It is with a hint of sadness/nostalgia that I'm posting this tonight. I've decided to end my run as a volunteer and show host at CHUO.

I've really enjoyed my 14 years as host and DJ for Ottawa's longest running jungle/drum & bass radio show. My initial involvement with the station was what launched my involvement in Ottawa's underground DJ/club scene. I give many thanks to CHUO and it's staff (past & present) for the opportunity.

To put it simply, 14 years since it started, I no longer place as much priority on my DJing/producing sideprojects, and demands continue to shift to other areas of my life. Time to move on. That's not to say that I am "retiring", I won't ever be giving up the music I love. You will certainly continue to see mixes, guest spots, and club dates from me in the future. But Futurhythm will sign on and sign off for good tomorrow night.

Our last broadcast on FUTURHYTHM CHUO will be Wednesday, May 18, from 9:00 - 10:00 PM. Please tune in and "keep it locked" one last time. We've got a great show lined up for you. Saxon & myself, along with a slew of guests will each be bring 4 or 5 of our favourite tunes that have ever been given a spin on the show. Expect a "best of" of sorts, featuring loads of music from the past & present.
